Like many other countries with an aging population and decreasing healthcare professionals to take care of them, Finland finally paved the way for Filipino nurses to serve their shortage for nurses.

The Philippine government has sealed an approval to send labor officials to Finland by year end to discuss the possibility of a bilateral agreement between the two countries.

Finland is one of the many countries that will soon experience the impact of the “baby boomer era”. With the country’s decreasing birth rate and declining work age population, healthcare services will soon be highly demanded by many hospitals and health care institutions nationwide.

This is welcome news for our Filipino nurses and Nursing students still at school. It has proven more than ever that Filipino nurses are indeed in demand all over the world.
